Questions and answers

Updated October 21, 2026. Short answers about the flyer tool.

What is FixQR?

FixQR replaces a broken QR code on a flyer. You upload the image, place a new code over the old one, test that it scans, and download the fixed flyer. It runs in the browser.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no signup and no login.

Is FixQR free?

Yes. The tool is free. There is no payment and no paid plan.

Does my flyer get uploaded?

No. The image, a camera photo, a center logo, and the contents of the QR code are handled on your device. FixQR does not receive a copy of the flyer.

Which files can I use?

PNG, JPG, WEBP, or SVG. You can also take a photo. A center logo can be PNG, JPG, WEBP, or SVG.

What can the new QR code open?

A website, phone number, text message, email, Wi-Fi network, contact card, plain text, map location, app download link, or a social profile on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, or LinkedIn.

How do I fix the code?

Upload the flyer, or use Try Demo. Drag the box over the broken code. Set where the new code should go. Use Test QR. When it scans, download a PNG, JPG, or WEBP at the original size, 1080p, 2K, 4K, or a print size. Export stays off until the test can read the code.

Does a passed test mean the printed flyer will scan?

A passed test means the code could be read in the browser. Print size, glare, and the phone camera can still affect a real scan. Check the printed piece.

Where is my work saved?

In this browser, so a refresh can restore the flyer. It is not saved to a FixQR account. Leave deletes that local save. You can also clear site data for fixqr.app in the browser.

What does the site record about a visit?

The editor can send the page path and the referring address. The homepage log stores the time, that path, the referrer, a phone-or-desktop label, and a daily code made from the IP address, browser, and date. The raw IP address is not stored. The privacy policy has the full list. These info pages do not send that note.

Are there ads?

The editor has ad spaces. They currently show the word “Ad,” and no ad network is loaded. If ads are turned on later, Google’s ad script can load. Your flyer is still not uploaded.

Can I use the fixed flyer for a real event or business?

Yes. You keep the flyer and the file you download. You are responsible for the link you encode and for having the right to use the artwork. The terms say the same thing.
